The Principal – Helene Jones.

Helene Jones School of Theatre Dance, Dance-Art, Cambridgeshire, UKHelene started dancing with a local dance school at just three years of age and took weekly lessons there until the age of sixteen when she moved to London and began her full-time Performing Arts Training at the ‘Corona Academy of Dance and Drama’ (now known as the Ravenscroft Theatre School).

Whilst training there Helene had the opportunity to work with a variety of people in Theatre and Television. Her credits include:

Opportunity Knocks with Hughie Green
TV advertisement for The Sun Newspaper
A Dance Documentary for the BBC
Playing Madame Cholet with the Wombles stage show in Blackpool and London
Playing Motherbear with Su Pollard in a record breaking run of Goldilocks at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton.
Working with Barbara Windsor, The ‘Chuckle Brothers’, Leslie Crowther and Nerris Hughes in Pantomimes.

After marrying her stage manager and raising a family Helene Qualified with the I.D.T.A and started a small Dance School one night a week in Bar Hill. Demand for classes meant that Helene was soon teaching three days a week. A short time later a second school was opened in Waterbeach and then she expanded again a few years later with a third school opening in Milton. The three schools now comprise of more than 350 pupils ranging from children just 2 years of age to Grandparents!
